Welcome

The Leeds North and East Circuit of the Methodist Church was formed in September 2013 by the uniting of the former Leeds East and Leeds North-East Circuits. This website will tell you a great deal about Methodism, about what we do together as a circuit, and about the life and worship of each of our 18 churches. The best way to get to know us, though, is to come and see for yourself. You'll find a warm welcome in all our churches. Look at the map below to see where they are.

Leeds North and East Circuit Mission Statement (Sept 2016)

The Churches of the Leeds North and East Methodist Circuit work together to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through worship, learning and caring, service and evangelism.
PRIORITY – The priority of the Circuit for the next two years is: Evangelism—encouraging, equipping and enabling churches to engage the people with whom they have contact, developing transformative relationships in which the Good News of Jesus Christ may be discovered anew.

Encounter Programme 2018

Do you feel God nudging you to make a change in your life? To do something new, or something familiar in a deeper way? Would you like to spend time deepening your Christian discipleship with a group of fellow pilgrims, exploring your sense of vocation and what God may be calling you to do in the next phase of your life? If so, the Methodist Encounter programme may be for you.

Starting in September we will be running a new stream of this successful Methodist discipleship programme. Encounter is open to anyone who would like to reflect where their Christian discipleship is leading them, whether you have a clear picture or just a feeling of a call to do more or something new. The programme will run from September 2018 until July 2019, with monthly gatherings of the Encounter group on a Sunday evening at one of the Methodist churches in Calderdale.
